DUBAI (13 November 2018) – Earlier this month, APEX (Airline Passenger Experience Association) hosted more than 11 airlines, representing an average of 30 million passengers/year travelling to more than 200 countries, in Dubai to discuss the latest passenger experience advancements and the state of aviation industry in the Middle East and Africa. The two-day conference leveraged conversations surrounding the entire Passenger experience, on the ground and in the air, with a focus on how Middle Eastern innovation can continue to foster growth in air travel.

 

“Global leaders gathered in Dubai to discuss passenger experience advancements in the region and how these improvements have a global impact,” said Dr. Joe Leader, APEX/IFSA CEO. “The level of market insight shared by these leaders was unparalleled for the region.”

APEX continued to deliver thought leadership that is shaping the airline industry at this year’s show in Dubai, UAE. Airline leaders leveraged the APEX stage to discuss a multitude of topics shaping the aviation industry:

Throughout the two-day conference, airline leaders from a variety of companies provided world-class thought leadership seminars. From cabin innovation to the travel ecosystem on one day one and discussing IFE revenue generation to  social media communication on day two, attendees were full emerged in discussions on topics covering today’s aviation industry.

Attendees also had the opportunity to tour the Thales Innovation Center, in partnership with Airbus. During the tour guests were given a glimpse into how Thales is investing in key technologies like cybersecurity, big data, connectivity, artificial intelligence.

APEX was also proud to honor top airlines who have committed to elevating the passenger experience at the APEX Awards Ceremony, The industry’s best-of-the-best received The Official Airline Ratings™. Four- and five-star airlines were recognized as part of the first airline rating program based solely on verified, validated, and certified passenger feedback.
